We want the Mustard Tree Community Church to be church which is:

Worshipping |
encountering God in worship that is sincere and reverent, yet lively and open. |

because this is an expression of our relationship with God and because prayer is the key to change |

Spirit filled |
where the fruit of the Spirit is evident in each life and gifts are used to build up the church |

Biblical |
where the word of God is the measure to which we align our lives and where the teaching is both practical and relevant |

Caring |
recognising its responsibility for serving one another without barriers of age, gender, race or class |

Witnessing |
recognising each member’s responsibility to share their faith with those who live or work around them |

Sending |
seeking to reach out beyond the local community to share the resources and people that God has given us |
Turning it Into Reality
We believe that Jesus gave us three overriding principles to help us turn this vision into reality:
- Love the Lord your God with all your heart
- Love your neighbour as yourself
- Make disciples of all nations
As a church we seek to outwork these principles in all aspects of both our personal lives and our life together. There are five different ways in which we can put these principles into action:
